WHO NEEDS RECOVERY ALIVE?
Recovery Alive is a faith-based recovery program designed to help all people struggling with hurts, habits, and hang-ups. It’s for those who need help with any issues such as drug and alcohol addictions, sexual addictions or abuse, divorce, codependency, domestic violence, food addiction, gambling addictions, anxiety, depression, grief, and many other areas of struggle.
WHAT IS POWER GROUP?
During this time we will go over one of the 12 steps of recovery. Each week a lesson will be taught or a testimony will be shared. We will celebrate the accomplishments of all RA attendees with a chip ceremony. Following the large group we will break out into smaller groups, called People Groups.
WHAT ARE PEOPLE GROUPS?
People Groups are gender specific. During this time, all will have an opportunity to talk about their accomplishments and struggles in a confidential setting. (NO ONE IS REQUIRED TO SHARE.) They will also listen to others share about their hurts, habits, and hangups. People groups are a great source of support that will encourage you!

WATCH A FORMER CELEBRATE RECOVERY ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSION BELOW:
TWELVE STEPS AND THEIR BIBLICAL FOUNDATIONS
STEP 1:
We admitted we were powerless over our addictions and compulsive behavior; that our lives had become unmanageable.
I want to do right, but I can’t. ROMANS 7:18
STEP 2:
We came to believe that a power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.
For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength. PHILIPPIANS 4:13
STEP 3:
We made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God.
Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. ROMANS 10:13
STEP 4:
We made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves.
Let us examine our ways and test them. Let us return to the LORD. LAMENTATIONS 3:40
STEP 5:
We admitted to God, to ourselves, and to another human being, the harm we have done to others, and the harm that was done to us.
Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other, so that you may be healed. JAMES 5:16
STEP 6:
We humbly asked God to remove our defects of character.
Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me. PSALM 51:10
STEP 7:
We asked God for the grace to forgive those who have hurt us.
For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him. PHILIPPIANS 2:13
STEP 8:
We made amends to all persons we had harmed unless to do so would injure them or others.
Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone. ROMANS 12:18
STEP 9:
We extended forgiveness to those who had harmed us, except when doing so would injure them or others.
And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him. 2 CORINTHIANS 5:18
STEP 10:
We continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong, promptly admitted it.
Cling to your faith in Christ and keep your conscience clear. I TIMOTHY 1:19
STEP 11:
We sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God, praying only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry that out.
Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. 1 THESSALONIANS 5:16-18
STEP 12:
Having had a spiritual experience as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to others and practice these principles in all our affairs.
Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of
the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. MATTHEW 28:19
Serenity Prayer
God, grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change,
the courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time,
enjoying one moment at a time;
accepting hardship as a pathway to peace;
taking, as Jesus did,
this sinful world as it is,
not as I would have it;
trusting that You will make all things right
if I surrender to Your will;
so that I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with You forever in the next.
Amen.
