Local Missions

We believe that serving our community is a critical part of our mission as a church. One of the ways we carry out this mission is through our local missions program, which focuses on servant evangelism. Through servant evangelism, we are able to build relationships with our neighbors and meet their practical needs as a way to share the love of Christ. By doing projects around our community, our goal is to share the message of hope and salvation in a tangible way. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve and share the gospel with those around us, and we will continue to seek out ways to make a difference in the lives of those in our community.

  • This children’s ministry provides many opportunities to serve the children and families of Pickens County throughout the year. We need people interested in sharing their time through loving and serving. We do things like provide meals for DSS workers, encourage and support fostering families in our church, collect items for emergency bags, and purchase Chrstimas gifts for kids in foster care. Please pray to see how God has gifted you to encourage and demonstrate God’s love through this ministry. For more information please contact nick@eastpickens.org.

National Missions

Our heart for national missions beats passionately, fueled by a deep desire to spread the love of Christ across our great nation. We firmly believe that the Gospel should not be confined within the walls of our church, but rather, should be carried far and wide to every corner of this land. With unwavering faith, we support and actively participate in various national mission endeavors, reaching out to those in need and sharing the life-transforming message of Jesus Christ. From disaster relief efforts to homeless shelters, from inner-city ministries to rural communities, we strive to make a significant impact on the lives of those who have yet to experience the redeeming power of God's grace. By partnering with local churches and ministries, we seek to engage with communities, breaking down barriers and building bridges that lead to reconciliation, hope, and restoration. Our heart for national missions propels us forward, united in our commitment to be the hands and feet of Jesus wherever we are called to serve.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

The Operation Christmas Child (OCC) shoebox ministry sends shoeboxes filled with items for children in a third-world country, including a Bible-based story book explaining the Gospel. East Pickens collects items all year long, assembles, and packs the boxes for shipment in late October. Volunteers will sort inventory, donate items throughout the year, and help with the cost of shipping. Individuals from the young to the senior adult (including our homebound) receive a blessing by giving items, making items, and supporting this ministry so that the Word of God can be spread. For more information please email nick@eastpickens.org.
